Iniquity Whisky Silver Batch No. 009
Autumn brown with claret ash and orange nasturtium highlights
Roasted hazelnut and toasted almond nuttiness with apricots, some cinnamon, autumn leaves, mixed apricot/peach fruit leather, medium dry sherry, a hint of wood-smoke and chocolate covered fruit. Quite perfumed like scented soap (Camay) with a hint of rosewater and cedar/sandalwood and tobacco leaf.
Leafy tannins, some aromatic bitters, long and warming, drying wood and that tannic leafiness hangs aroundfor a while.
Honey and dried apricots, leafy tannins, some aromatic bitters, long and warming, the leafiness persists.
Sophisticated and elegant with lots of interesting things going on in the nose; the palate and finish are perfectly aligned with the nose. Several American Oak ex port and sherry barrels were married in a French Oak port barrel resulting in an expression a little different to our earlier expressions.
