When you smell a whisky, do you stick your nose inside the glass?

Here are our top tips for smelling whisky:

Tilt the glass to maximise the surface area – this encourages the vapours to evaporate
Approach the whisky from a distance – don’t get too close
For optimal sensory effect, smell with your mouth open
Don’t take it too seriously!
