Iniquity Whisky Anomaly Series — The Merlot
Tasting Notes
Nose
A faint wine like note, but since it’s called “The Merlot” it would be surprising if there wasn’t. That said, the nose is not so much winey as it is grapey. There is the unmistakable malt note and an unusual, but very pleasant hint of Turkish Delight dusted in icing-sugar, coconut and the faintest of fruit tea.

Dry, nutty and warm with considerable length.

Comment
The 51% ABV certainly doesn’t come across as anything inappropriate. There is just a beautiful, subtle warmth assisting the balance to hit the sweet spot. A simply beautiful dram that is disgracefully easy drinking!
