4YO Shiraz Casks, Port & Sherry Cask Finished

4YO Shiraz casks, finished in a mix of port and sherry casks, predominately American Oak. Very lightly peated with peat from the Parawa property originally named Talamara.

Colour
Dark amber in colour.

Nose
Stewed stone fruits, burnt pastry, manuka honey, eucalyptus, damp forest floor with a good hit of campfire and old wax jackets.

Palate
Soft oiliness, candied apricot, redgum smoke, butter menthol, more honey and baking spices.

Finish
Long, hot cinnamon, anise, burnt toffee, mysterious herbs and lingering smokey mulled wine.
